We took 5 runners up to the Yorkshire track. Threapwood ran with credit in the 1st division of the Conditions race, he is always a bit ring rusty first time out each season and was given a nice ride from Ryan. We then had Capellanus making his debut for the yard in the 2nd division of the same race, he ran very respectably to finish 4th and we are expecting him to improve with that run behind him. We then moved on to Desert Sting who again ran a very gallant race after leading until the last before getting tired in the very testing ground but still finished a very respectable 4th in a big field. The only disappointment of the day was Norton Grove who seemed to hate the conditions but I strongly believe he will bounce back from this and fulfil the promise he has showed us at home! The Ibbster was the final runner of the day and matched his homework with a much improved performance. He should improve on that again and should pick up a race before long. A lot of praise must go to the organisers for getting the meeting on despite a lot of rain.
