That's just part of the package that comes with a membership of the new Jersey Syndicate launched by Greenall Guerriero Racing, from their stables in the beautiful area of Malpas in Cheshire.
Oliver Greenall, one half of a training partnership that includes Josh Guerriero (formerly Assistant Trainer to Dan Skelton), explains the thinking behind the new syndicate:
"My family have had very strong links with the island of Jersey for many years, including ownership of a brewery and a number of pubs. Anyone who has been to the island will know how very special it is. Race days at Les Landes Racecourse are equally as special, with great views over the sea and a very special atmosphere.
We had been approached by a number of existing and potential owners about taking horses out to the island to race and we now have the horse that fits the bill perfectly - Cawthorne Cracker. He is a five-year-old bay gelding who loves fast ground and sharp tracks and is also unexposed.
Josh explains:
"Being young and unexposed he has plenty of potential, and we definitely expect to see him progress as he develops with both age and racing experience."
The idea is for Cawthorne Cracker to have some runs at tracks reasonably close to the Malpas stables, whilst having at least one trip out to Jersey this season (weather, ground and racing conditions permitting).
We will organise a trip out to Jersey and, as well as organising hospitality at the racecourse, we will also help with hotel arrangements where required, and possibly a tour of the island for those interested.
Over recent years, a number of UK-based trainers have enjoyed successful trips to the island, where meetings are made up of primarily flat races, but there are also some hurdle races throughout the season.
Neil Mulholland is one regular visitor to the island and has enjoyed plenty of winners there in recent years.
A 10% share in the Jersey Syndicate will cost £4,500 plus VAT in year one.
This will cover the purchase price of the horse, all training, veterinary and racing associated costs, as well as the cost of taking Cawthorne Cracker out to the island.
In year two, the cost will be £3,000 plus VAT.
