Firstly we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope you all had a lovely day from everyone here at Stockton Hall.
Its a busy boxing day for us here at Stockton hall with 3 runners at Market Rasen and a runner at both Huntingdon and Wetherby.
Strong Resemblance makes the trip to Huntingdon for the opening conditional handicap hurdle on their card, he has won twice and finished second twice on his 4 runs since joining the yard. We gave him a quiet week or so after his last run but he seems fresh and well again at home and hopefully he can go close with Ross 6lb claim coming in very handy.
We also have one runner at Wetherby where Twotwothree will be making his handicap debut at 1:00, he showed a good level of form in bumpers last year but has been slightly disappointing this year. This should be a lot more suitable though and with conditions to suit hopefully he can be competitive. Ryan Day rides.
Our intentions then turn to Market Rasen where we are firstly represented by Cave Top who is dropped in grade for the novice handicap chase. He ran with plenty of promise last time at Aintree and with this looking slightly easier he should have a live each way chance.
Late Romantic is next up in the Lincolnshire national, he ran a huge race on reappearance/chase debut last time at Newcastle and we are hopeful the step up in trip will suit. He seems in very good form at home and we are really looking forward to getting him back on the track and all being well hopefully he can be involved in the finish.
Court in Matera will be the final runner of the day when running in the novice handicap hurdle, this should be a lot more suitable for him after competing in 3 hot novice hurdles so far this year. His work seems to have improved over the last couple of weeks so hopefully all bodes well for a better showing.
Its great that we have been able to book Paddy Brennan to ride all 3 at Market Rasen and hopefully we can provide him with a winner or two!
