It’s a very busy day for the yard on Tuesday with 8 runners across England and Wales! Western Morning gets the day started down at Chepstow in what looks a very competitive maiden hurdle, although it wasn’t a very good point to point he won last year he did so impressively and should have a future under rules. We will learn plenty about him today.
Our other runner at Chepstow is Come on Louis who will be looking to bounce back to form after running on ground which wouldn’t of suited last time.
At our local track Bangor on Dee we are well represented with 4 runners. Zalvados had a good first season over hurdles last year after joining us off the flat in France. The highlight of his season came when he was 3rd at Aintree on Grand national day. He seems to have done very well for his summer off and whilst their there looks to be a couple of potential smart types taking him on he should have big chance.
We are then doubly represented in the 3:05 where Cave Top will be looking to add to impressive victory which he recorded at Exeter last week. He seems to have come out of the run in good order and hopefully he can put in another big effort under a penalty. Verano will be making his stable debut and seems in good order at home but this is his first run for a while and will improve for the run.
Our 4th and final runner at Bangor comes in Div 1 of the National hunt flat race when Bronzallure will be making his debut under all codes. We purchased him unraced last spring and is a likeable type he should have a future under rules. He has shown plenty of ability at home but will come on for the experience.
Our final runners of the day come in the 7:40 at Wolverhampton where we also have 2 runners. Omotesando returns to a track he has shown plenty of form at and should be competitive. We are hoping that the application of blinkers will help Never a Word transfer his good work at home to the track. He certainly should be able to show more if the blinkers have a positive effect!
