Herbiers was a real stable star and gave us our first big Class 2 Saturday winner at Sandown at the end of the 2021 National Hunt season. He never showed anything at home and was always so lazy and stuffy, but he came alive on the track. He ran a cracking race at Cheltenham to finish second over hurdles so then went chasing and won well at Newbury looking to relish fences. Sadly, after picking up an injury and having time off he never recovered that early form so we retired him to a lovely riding home where he is loved and cared for like a king.
