It was great to be able to purchase 2 two year olds from the breeze up sales at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago, we had a very good first season on the flat last year performing at a 18% win strike rate and a winner with one of only 2 two year olds that i had in the yard when Arthurthedelegator got his head in front at Newcastle.
The first of the new recruits is a good looking son of leading sire Zoffany which can be seen above. He breezed in a good time and looks like being a 2 year old type but also has plenty of scope for improvement. He has been bought by both existing owners Eric Brook and Noel Gallagher.
My other exciting purchase was this lovely Dutch Art colt who is out of a listed winning mare and is also a strong sort who looks a ready made 2 year old, he was slightly greener in his breeze but looks the type to improve plenty with work and he looks like providing Eric Brook with plenty of fun for the flat season ahead.
I am planning on heading down to Newmarket next week for the guineas breeze up sale and am hoping to add a couple more to join the already exciting string for this flat season. If you are interested don't hesitate in contacting me.
