The horses here at Stockton Hall have been in great form over the past 6 weeks and we have had many good placings aswell as recording another 7 winners meaning we have ended the 2018-2019 season with 20 winners which we are delighted with and is the most we have had in a season in our short career which is a big compliment to the team at home especially when you consider how hard it has been with such a dry winter.
Recent winners have included Lucky Lover Boy who won the novice hurdle at Bangor on Dee on Friday under a double penalty and it took him to 3 wins and 2 seconds in just 5 starts since joining the yard and has taken really well to hurdling. We purchased him for just £14,000 in October from the Newmarket horses in training sales and he seems to be improving all the time, he will now have a much deserved holiday and we can't wait for next season with him! Arctic Road also took his tally of victories for the season to 3 with a impressive win at Bangor also and gave us our first double under rules at our local track, he always travelled like the winner and put the race to bed 2 out. He will also enjoy a much deserved break now and is another who will hopefully have a big year next year especially when he goes over the larger obstacles. Miss Delighted is another exciting novice, she won a quite valuable mares novice at Haydock and improved again when winning her second mares novice hurdle in good style at Hexham and we are really looking forward to the future with her as she is another who should continue to improve with time. Dual winner Tim Rocco won 2 handicaps in good style and still has a progressive profile and should be back winning again soon when back from a much needed break, he has loads of size and scope and is another who will jump fences in time.
