Blazing Duke is a 5 year old who has been racing in Ireland and finished an eye-catching third on his latest start over hurdles at Limerick.
He has a handicap rating, so he will be all set and ready to go this autumn. He is rated 100 over in Ireland, which over here will be around 108. He was trained by Paul Nolan, who is not hard on his horses and a great trainer to buy off. He has run on soft ground and will improve for chasing. He is the right age, a good solid horse who vetted well.

He's an ideal horse to get involved in. He's a good age, already in full training and close to a run, and has shown a level of form. He's very straightforward, goes better than a 110 horse, and should improve for a fence. The trainer is also very good to buy off — he's careful not to over-push his horses and allows them the time they need to develop.
