As we start to rough some of the pointers off we are getting some of the breakers in to start handling them and long reining. I find it a really exciting time of year and four stores came yesterday to be broken and ridden away to hopefully go pointing next season. Three are by Gentleman's Deal and one is by Bollin Eric - two 3 yr olds and two 4 yr olds. They are all big strong horses (like their sire) and seem very quiet and willing. I will also be going to Doncaster sales to buy a few unbroken store horses which is always exciting as you are starting with a blank canvass and are never sure what you might have on your hands.
