El Borracho Wins Again
Since last month’s newsletter, El Borracho has clocked up another two wins! He has been such a legend and is so consistent, having been placed in the first four in twenty out of his twenty four starts for us. He gives his owners so much fun and rarely runs a bad race. His first win this month came at Sedgefield over hurdles: he got taken-on leaving the back straight and then looked beat jumping the last before putting his head down and battling all the way to get up on the line. His second win came at Warwick, back over fences where he carries 10lbs more than over hurdles. The small number of entries encouraged us to run him, and he put in an impeccable round of jumping taking a length out of his rivals at every fence to go on and win, hard held.
